Arizona weekend itinerary: a two-day plan

This plan covers Sedona's national-forest sites on day one and the Grand Canyon South Rim on day two. It is an editorial sequence from official sources; check the fees and the shuttle routes for your dates. We verified no driving times between the places.

Day 1: Sedona

  1. Coconino National Forest sites, with a Red Rock Pass ($5 daily per vehicle).

Day 2: Grand Canyon

  1. South Rim, $35 per vehicle ($20 on foot or by bicycle), plus $100 per nonresident aged 16 and older unless you hold an annual or America the Beautiful pass; use the free shuttle.
  2. Limit: Hermit Road is closed to private vehicles through November 30, 2026.

Getting around
